PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The T7460 Velocity 5 catch glove features an innovative design, a large catching surface, and new "V5" graphics for 2012.  Improvements in padding and fit make this 7460 an extremely well built glove for the price.

The glove palm has a deeper shape for improved catching and puck retention, as well as a unique new thumb tunnel design for added control and greater closing power.  For 2012, a lace-break palm has been added for a more precise closure.  Segmented plastic inserts in the palm help protect against stingers.  The pocket features a Double T web to help reduce puck spin and improved puck retention in the pocket.

The internal glove palm has mesh finger gussets for weight reduction, comfort and breathability.  Dual back hand control straps - including an improved wrist strapping for a tighter fit - make for a snug, customizable fit.  Back hand protection has three piece construction with HD foam over the back of the fingers for slash protection, and an additional fingertip deflection ramp to further protect the fingers.

Keys to a Proper Fit:

  • The goalie's fingers should extend out to the end of the finger stalls of the inside palm to ensure a proper fit. However, any more than 1/2" from the tip of the goaltender's finger to the end of the finger stall and the goaltender will not have the leverage needed to properly close and control the glove.

  • The heel of your hand should line up with the heel and cuff of the catcher. If not, the proper balance between the cuff and catching portion of the glove may be disturbed, making the glove too cumbersome while sacrificing protection.
