The name says it all for the new CCM Extreme Flex Pro.  It is both extremley flexible in the boot and has a good amount of torsional flex in the shin area. This allows the goalie to more easily load his/her push leg in a butterfly recovery as well as easily direct rebounds to the corner. The face of the pad is layered in a soft foam giving the goalie closer rebounds.

The new 90 degree boot angle is both flatter and softer than what is found on it's Reebok counterpart, the Premier 4. The knee and calf landings are bindingless to provide maximum durability. The tight leg channel with calf velcro allows the goalie to maintain control of the pad without having to wear the leather straps tight. The open knee craddle allows ample space for bigger knee guards as well as offering superb pad rotation and balance. Unlike the Reebok P4, the CCM EFlex pads have an flat inside medial (inside) edge, which means that the goalie is more stable and in control when in the butterfly. The knee lock Velcro can attach to the outside of the knee craddle or to the outside calf wrap.

The new CCM Extreme Flex Pro leg pads are the perfect combination of a butterfly and hybrid style pad.

90 deg. angled soft boot for extreme mobility

REBOUND CONTROL: Low-density soft foam on the front reduces rebounds to assure improved control

STABILITY: Flat inside edge stabilizes the pad flush to the ice with bindingless knee and calf wrap for increased durability

BALANCE: Wider knee stack landing surface keep goalies balanced in the butterfly

Reebok utilizes a "Floor to Knee" fit guide to determine the proper leg pad size to meet your needs.  To determine your "Floor to Knee" measurement, measure the distance from the floor (in bare feet) to the middle of the knee cap, straight up, knees slightly bent.  Find this measurement in the chart below, then look at the number above it to find your pad size.

If fitted properly, the goalie's knee should rest in the center of the knee cradle with the pad securely attached to the goal skate and properly strapped on the goaltender's leg. Generally, this will ensure that the pad breaks (bends) at the knee/shin and ankle as designed for optimal performance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT PADS! GREAT VALUE! I bought these pads for my U14 daughter, and she loves them. At first they were uncomfortable to her however once we took off the thigh guards and she wore them 3 times to break them in she absolutely loved them. They slide exceptionally, have plenty of room in the knee for knee pads, and are flexible enough with the single break to allow her to play the hybrid style of goalie that she does. Best pads for the price by far!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from For the mobile goaltender When I got these pads, I noticed that they were very big. After putting on my skates and knee pads, they fit almost perfect. You can get away with a few inches due to the 90 degree boot angle. The pad sits down more on you leg, dropping the pad down a little. Because of this, this pad is perfect for growing goalies like me. You could make the leg channel just the way you like. You could litterally play with just the elastic. They are so soft for that hybrid style kind of play. Even if you aren't a hybrid goaltender, the single break below the knee allows you to get a wide butterfly. CCM really out did themselves!!!!!

what is the toe taper? is it different from reebok 18k?

Asked by: Heipfam
I don't know the exact taper degree, but the Reebok has a more aggressive Toe Taper than the CCM does.

whats the diff between int. 32+1 and senior 32+1

Asked by: Heipfam
The difference is in the materials. The INT will have slightly thinner foams used in the core of the pad.

I have the Reebok Larceny goalie pads (31+1). How does the weight compare between mine and the CCM Flex Extreme Pro?

Asked by: Anonymous
The CCM line is quite a bit lighter than the Larceny series, especially the Larceny Pro. The CCM has a much thinner side profile reducing a large portion of the weight.
