RATINGS & REVIEWS

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No Durability Issues For Us My son has been wearing this collar for 3 years (Fall, Spring, Summer leagues) and it looks brand new. The Velcro closure is not as secure as when new but never releases inadvertently. Wish is was a bit higher up on the neck.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible Mine started falling apart after the first time of being used. By my fifth game the inner foam was exposed and falling out. Just horrible!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad Product Terrible durability and just average protection. Wore it for 15 ice sessions and the protection is coming off. Whole neck guard needs to be re-sewed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product, but...... Pros: * Comfortable wear * Dries quickly after use Cons: * Product is NOT durable I have worn/used this product in 7 games and 4 stick/skate sessions and their is so much sewing repairs by me all around the neck area that I'm close to have sewn the entire product myself. If you buy this product, be prepared to perform on-going sewing repairs. Other than that, I have nothing bad to say about it. Protection is decent, though I wish it went higher up the neck another 1/2 inch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 7000 Pro Collar Great quality (typical of Vaughn) Could be a little broader though to protect a little more area.

PRODUCT Q & A

how does this compare with the 7460

my son will only wear the 7460 because it doesn't feel bulky, restricting or in the way.i like the idea of the bnq certification the 7000 has. so as far as fit and feel etc..would this be similar with the 7460
Asked by: Heipfam
The 7000 has a much taller neck than the 7460 does - taller by almost 1". It will definitely have a more "bulky" feel, but it's not restricting at all. Definitely something that he could get used to.

How big is the neck protection? And how long does it come down too?

Asked by: Anonymous
The neck collar on the Vaughn 7000 is nearly 2" tall, and the clavicle pad that attaches to it is approximately 4" from the bottom to the neck attachement point. The clavicle pad is large enough to cover any gap in protection around your neck that the chest guard doesn't cover.
