PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The skate design geniuses at Bauer have done it again.  New for 2014, the Supreme TOTALONE NXG goalie skate is Bauer's most advanced goal skate to date and it has been designed with extreme comfort and performance in mind.

The boot has a shorter cut on the lateral side that relieves pressure on the outside edge and allows for a deeper stance, and this side also features a soft foam comfort edge to alleviate abrasion on the goalie's ankle.  The inside edge is cut approximately 1/2" taller to maintain protection and support.  This asymmetric design specifically enhances the goalies ability to move around the crease.  Additionally, the skate tongue is actually taller on the inside edge to keep it from twisting, and it is made using pro felt and an insert to prevent lace bite.

The ankle area of the boot interior is made with PORON XRD to provide extreme comfort and increase impact protection.  The footbed uses Bauer's Total Edge padded flaps around the toes, and the sole of the boot is lined with a comfort foam to keep the feet comfortable no matter how long the skate or practice goes.

The new VERTEXX 2.0 cowling uses a LS2 stainless steel runner which is removable and replaceable.  The LS2 is a higher quality steel than in past skate models, and it holds an edge for a longer period of time.

RATINGS & REVIEWS

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally a great skare! These skates fit perfectly after baking and i have never had a pair of skates fit so well. Bought these in store at the Ann arbor MI location. I was helped by a guy named Ian who was helpful, knowledgeable, and quick to answer all my questions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from NXG Goal Skates These are incredibly comfortable skates. Extremely light and well padded. A significant upgrade over the Bauer Pros (and those aren't too shabby either).

PRODUCT Q & A

3mm vs. 4mm

What are the advantages and disadvantages of a 3mm runner? I'm more familiar with a 4mm runner and i was wondering if it was a good idea to switch runner size.
Asked by: Thebrickwall30
The 3mm runner will possibly give you a bit more agility. Most cowlings will not allow you to have interchangeable cowlings between 3mm and 4mm.

cowling and runner.

Is it possible to put a 4mm runner in this cowling or is it only made for the 3mm runner?
Asked by: Thebrickwall30
Unfortunately, you cannot put a 4mm blade in a cowling made for a 3mm blade.

Can you heat mold them

How to heat mold them. What is the temperature and how long to cook in the oven?
Asked by: 1jaolla
These skates are able to be heat molded. We recommend taking the skates to your local Total Hockey to have them molded by a sales associate at the correct temperature for the correct amount of time. We do not recommend putting your skates in your household oven, as that is not how the heat molding process was tested for these skates.
